I have been working on building curbing pieces for our trailer. I'm wondering if I am doing it in a cumbersome way and maybe there is an easier way or maybe it is what it is.
I climb up the ladder, measure the first piece, down the ladder, cut the 1/8' strip, up the ladder, place strip, measure next piece, down the ladder, cut the strip, up the ladder, glue to first piece, measure 3rd piece, and so on and so on until I get it even with the studs and then drill & screw them in place.
Since the distance between the studs "grows" as the radius grows, I don't think I can cut many strips at once.
Has anyone come up with an easier way? There are a lot of areas to be done.

Two things make it a little faster. One is to use 1/4 inch thick pieces. Second way is to staple instead of screwing. I use 3/4 inch by 1/4 inch crown staples. I also glue the pieces. You are right. It takes a very long time when going between the framing.

A quality repair is never fast or easy but it is always worth it if you want it done in a manor you can be proud of. PS Think of the trips up and down the ladder as free trips to the gym getting you in better shape to go camping.

I've got a rhythm down now. I'm even enjoying it.
