Although I haven't completely given up yet, I'm having a very difficult time matching the finish in my Oasis. It "floats" on top of the wood like paint does, except it's semi-transparent, and has flaked off in some areas. I installed two new wood panels and had really hoped to find a finish that would tie the new with the old, but I haven't been happy with the results so far.
I know some of you have sanded down your entire interiors. How long did it take you?

I went through the same process with I ur Shasta Compact and, after mixing about 20 different sample, I gave up and sanded. Three days, 8 hours a day with palm and corner sanders. 100 grit followed by 220. Great results but not fun.
There are times when you have no choice.

Oasis trailers have a "wash" on the paneling. It tends to be tannish, and is hard to duplicate. I took a cabinet door into Lowe's and asked them to match the tone as near as possible. The resulting two cans were tried and one actually worked when watered down... It's not perfect but the trailer came out pretty well: 1964oasis.shutterfly.com/Click on Pictures and videos to view the albums...

Do you remember the name of the stuff?

It was latex paint, satin. Diluted, it let the wood grain show, which is the point with an Oasis. I bought some white wash, but it was too bright and white. LOL.

I can now answer the question posed in the title; forever and a day!
But it was necessary and it paid off in the end. I think.

Best guess about 50 hours and 15+ to put 3 coats of clear on it (4 coats really had to redo one) Good times.
