Remember this about vintage campers...if you find rodent signs (GAWDIHATEMICE!!!) where they are accessible, there are probably 10 or 13 or 50 places that are not accessible to clean where they may well have left their leavings also....like this space entombed beneath the shower floor.... This was an area that I really did not intend to open up, if not for the plumbing problems I encountered. I found the area that they got in from and I made sure it wouldn't happen again. I'm sure we all hate mice!

I went completely the wrong way on this topic. Mold isn't really much of an issue here. I was thinking "dogs". Three of my four are a breed known for their sweet faces and mad gas passing skill.
In cases of mold, my best luck has been chlorine bleach water. Odoban does a pretty good job on doggie stuff like accidents. I'm using hanging car fresheners like the little trees for a fresh scent. The glade ones are nice

chanticocat have you ever tried OUT! for pet accidents on fabric or carpet? It is great. I like the kind with the oxy stuff. I believe they make it for other porous surfaces, too.

I keep 2 lights on all the time, and the kitchen window cracked. Removed the mattress and curtains. Washed down interior several times. And use diluted essential oils (lemon and lavender) as a room spritzer infrequently. She now doesn't have any musty odors at all! I'm glad that I could tame the smell. Hope you can tame yours too and that it is not coming from underneath
