I got this trailer off of craigslist with only a bill of sale. It was registered in Georgia evidently at one time (I'm in Tennessee), and the tag on the tongue of the trailer doesn't tell me anything about the year or manufacturer. It was given a homemade trailer tag. Could that be because they didn't have the original info anymore when they registered it in GA? Of course, I suppose it could be truly homemade, but I am hoping not. Anyway, as you can tell, I have no experience in this field, so any help that you can find, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Side View Front ID Tag

to VTT. I don't think it is a home made. Not sure if I can discover the manufacturer but I'm on the case. It has a nice shape and the skins don't look too bad.

Thanks, vintagebruce! I am scared that I have bitten off more than I can chew, but for $150, I figured that I would give it a shot. I am going to need help and advice as my 13-yr old son and I try to tackle this project, but I can move that convo over to the proper category, but for now, I thought this might be the place to find help to find out just exactly what I bought. Let me know what you come up with.

I like it! Looks to be early to be mid 50s, and factory made. Bruce is really great at discovering the origins of these little guys...
Oh and welcome!

If it has solid side walls it could be a Corvette.

Mobile is right, it does resemble a Corvette. Ours has a side window where the dinette is. Corvette's do have a very "flat" front profile. Wheel well is the same...

I'm bouncing back and forth between this thread and the photo booth thread, and think both mobiltec and vikx are on to something about it possibly being a Corvette. I mistook the pics of the end section with esposed framing in photo booth to be a side wall shot, and had started to back off on the Corvette idea, but one pic of an outside wall with a hole shows wood about the thickness of a Corvette wall behind the skin...hmmm... As mentioned, if the walls are solid, I'd be with them, thinking it is a Corvette.

It has solid sides. It must be Corvette. Are there any marked differences in model years, for me to find out what year this one would be?

Mine is definitely not a '59. I saw a few other with that cutout in the front, and mine doesn't have that. Not sure that I can tell the difference between the '57 & '58

I have TWO 57s with the green swirl, if that helps... Thanks for the help, vikx. For anyone else, that may help. Unfortunately, I got the one with the custom spray paint "camo" and the "Man Cave" custom decal. No way I can see what might be underneath of the camo - green swirls or not.

You might try stripping the camo paint and decal... Can't ruin it now.

It's cute. Well, paint's not so cute but the shape is.
