I just purchased it last week, now the fun begins. The PO had started refurbishment, ran out of $$ and motivation. The interior was gutted, then new paneling installed, keeping the front table and bench seats. Then, it was no longer fun, so the trailer sat outside without the exterior window moldings, so some water damage resulted. I am going to store it in my garage while I work on it. My plans are to install 30 amp ac service, full 12 volt lighting inside, new running lights like original, paint exterior, new tires and brakes(if needed). I am looking forward to all the help I see here on this site. BTW I just finished a 3 year project on a gutted 1975 Airstream Argosy 28', so I am not new to this stuff. I have done 2 Airstreams and several SOB's. And BTW the PO had installed a new stove, new 3 way refrig, new wiring(some of it wrong ba humbug), and dumb looking running and tail lights. I looking forward to this forums help, and along the way some new friends. Roger

It amazes me how many people lose motivation after investing so much into their campers.
His pain, your gain.

Welcome Roger! I just finished my 2nd Loliner, a 66. Love the retro shape and cool features. A couple of things: Loliners have a front spring bracket that will cause blow outs if new radial tires are too fat. It's an easy fix, Here's the thread: vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/743/aristocrat-loliner-blowoutsAlso, be sure to check the street side wall and wheel well. Loliners have a habit of that wall actually dropping down and/or bulging. Another fairly easy repair, but something to be aware of. Feel free to PM me if you have Loliner specific questions.

Thanks for all the replies. I will check the front spring bracket. Also, any posts or pics on the street side wall bulge?

Here is a link starting with the bulge: 65loliner.shutterfly.com/pictures/85#85 Just keep looking and you'll see the cabinet sagged into the floor. Wheel well was dropped about 2 inches. I strapped the body, jacked and tweaked after loosening and moving the inside cabinetry. The side (front) shelf gapped about 1/2". Wasn't sure I could get it all back together. Finally, everything "fit". Got lucky. I saw photos of a Loliner several years ago with the same problem.

Holy cow, there was a lot of rot. Mine seems to be solid, I have some problems in the rear corners, but never know until I get into it. Another question, what size tires? the ones on mine are old, and a size no longer made. Trailer tires, or steel belted auto tires? I think the wheels are original 13" steel. Thanks for the help. I bought BIAS ply Trailer Tires for the Loliner. 175/80D/13 They were a little over $100 each.

Thanks for the tip on the tires. I will get them when I am road ready. Right now the old tires still hold air, good enough to roll around the garage. Roger
