Beautiful trailer. And yes, thank you for your service. Keep the dents and dings. They are its own battle scars. You'll eventually see them for what they are and not blemishes. Filling or fixing dents is almost impossible. You could even make it look worse by trying (voice of experience).

KTO, I'm in Dutchess county. Are you nearby? I am looking to remove the skins and replace to wood that is rotted. I just don't know how I will successfully do so, as I don't have an enclosed space to keep everything dry. I'll be doing it outside.. Do your work in good weather windows and become proficient in the use of tarps. Good quality tarps will outlast poor quality many times over, don't cost much more and will save you a lot of frustration.

Hi Sean, Welcome to the forum. That is one very nice Deluxe! I pulled a "59" Deluxe home last month to save it from being scrapped. It is missing so much and suffered severe hail damage that I am beginning to think I've totally lost all of my senses. It will be a real project trailer for someone. You don't know what dents and dings are until you have seen one that has been in a hail storm. The frame is in near perfect condition, but it will require a frame-up rebuild. Anyone interested? It is a blank slate with title ready to be lovingly nurtured back to its former glory. I am planning to repair some of the framing, skirt boards, front and rear framing, etc. Your trailer is a breeze compared to mine. Take it one step at a time. It is just a series on mini projects. Lots of help from members on this site, especially Larry's "Mobiltec" videos (cannedhamtrailers.com). I would also recommend that you don't throw anything away until you have completely finished your restoration, even if you think it's not worth saving!

I'll be trying to replace the front and side dinette wood skeleton, first. Hopefully I don't destroy it! :/

To get them loose, one needs to remove the nails from the outside. Some trailers, you get lucky, but if things seem to be binding, suspect it's nailed thru the wall studs...

Welcome Sean! Navy Vet here, so thanks, Brother. The Lads and Lassies on this site are incredible and will help get that beauty in tip top shape!
