Just thinking the Aristocrat might be a good fit for your first time out since it's complete and could be used this year to rally in and spruce up a bit while searching for your dream ham. Besides, 1970 is now considered vintage and will go up in value, while you enjoy the hobby. Many of us have more then one trailer and are always looking for just that one special make and model. It is an incurable disease, and there is no known cure. You could learn the basics and cut your teeth on this trailer and have lots of fun this season. Go to Arizona Roundup for this years rallys in Arizona. I would love to go! I hope to see you there. I am going to take your advice, and at least go check out the aristocrat. I called the owner and I am going to look at it sunday.

Good luck on the search!
Keep in mind trailers 69/70 and newer have MDF in the cabinetry. They tend to be quite a bit heavier than earlier models. Also, MDF disintegrates if it has been wet, meaning more work to replace...
Don't want to start a big debate, but to *ME* 1970 is not particularly vintage. Too many made to be unique. That being said, there's some really cool newer trailers out there, even up to the present. They don't have to be a canned ham to be enjoyed.

Welcome to the forum. My deciding factor was, Did it have all the hard ware (stove, icebox, sink, table,) inside? To me, That is harder to replace than the walls and ceiling and redoing all the cabinets. If your intent it to restore a trailer than in my opinion, anything can be restored. But I'm a bit crazy. I learn as I went along. kept on telling my self" I want to do this."
Good luck on your quest. The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is mighty big when your project to done.

Thanks again to everyone for their advice the past week. I am looking at a couple trailers today. A 1969 'teepe' travel trailer, and a 1959 'security'. Both are about 1200, and the teepe is camp ready now. I am not sure yet about the security. Has anyone seen or owned either one of these brands?

Well thanks again to everyone for their advice and help. I actually found a trailer and am picking it up tomorrow. It is a mostly camp ready 1969 TeePee trailer. 13', 17' including tongue. I am having hard time finding much info on the brand, but I like the trailer. Most importantly, it doesnt seem to far from being camp ready. The stove and fridge are original, (fridge doesnt work though). Paneling has been painted over . Exterior needs a buff and polish, and several light covers need replaced. I will upload pictures later Iif anyone is interested!

Yup.. we have rules.. you have to show us your photos! lol Haha fair enough. These are the few pictures I snapped this morning when I went to look it over. I will post many more tomorrow and the following days when it is in my possession! Is there anyone on this forum who owns/has owned a Tee Pee travel trailer? The only evidence I see to say its a teepee is on the title, other than that I see nothing. Any emblems/tags have been removed or broken. Hopefully I can find something upon closer inspection. picasaweb.google.com/105855382756821772734/Teepee1969?authuser=0&feat=directlink

Thank you, I am excited to start fixing her up. It sure doesn't resemble a teepee... maybe a tepee? Lots of homework to do

It is going to be gorgeous if you do a proper restoration. I love the diamond feature siding.. I wish it was still available!

Haha awesome! I actually picked it up yesterday. Title says 1969 teepee. I am trying to find some identifying markers on the trailer, nothing yet.

I just found this post and very excited to see it! I have recently acquired a 69' Broken Arrow TePee myself & it's an exact copy of yours. I have taken some pictures, have not post them yet, but I will soon. Mine is in no where as good of condition (inside anyway) as yours. I have been looking to find info on the company and interior shots (thank you!!) to get some idea of what I'm up against to complete the long day's journey into the night. I was lucky to get it for free from my brother in law, so at least I'm not out any cash yet, but I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop on that part. There is a fair amount of H2O damage inside, three spots only, thank goodness. I'm fairly sure it will take a fair amount of interior frame restoration as well as new walls & ceiling. So I figured I'd rebuild the cabs as well. I'm excited, scared and challenged, but mostly looking forward to the project. I'd love to see how yours turned out!! By the way, although faded, I do have the original sticker on the front & rear of the trailer which I will post with my pics. I figured I would make templates for reproduction purposes when I get that far.
