I am starting to get to the fun part of this rehab (for me anyway). I have been scouring stores and internet to find a great, not-too-busy, fabric for our curtains. I decided to check out Walmart and came across a cute quilt for $15.00. Then I walked to the fabric department and found the perfect fabric for the curtains at only $3.00/yard. I'm in love with both and my co-worker friend is going to sew our curtains for us.

We also have to pick Formica for sink top and table. I have found one that goes well with my original idea, one that's a safe choice and one that's PINK. I am going for bright since we are doing a complete rebuild and plan to not paint the new birch interior I had my heart set on a particular Michael Miller fabric and I think Wilsonart's Hotrod is the right look if we're turn the bottom outside back to its original yellow, it should tie in really well.
The pink is Wilsonart's Poodleskirt. I kinda like it. It is a bit out of my comfort zone. Maybe I could use turquoise , grey, and yellows to tone it down. I guess it comes down to what is going to be easier on the eyes at o dark thirty

Your quilt is very similar to the quilt-pattern comforters that my roommate and I had on our beds in our college dorm room. I'm not going to tell you how long ago that was.
