Has anyone installed LED lights on the outside of their trailer for a porch light or additional lighting besides the marker and tail lights?
Let me know what you've used and what you think about them and if you have a link to the item you used as well, that'd be great.
Thanks.

I dont have any "extra" LED lighting, but all my outside lights including the license plate light are LED, and I have inside LED's in the4 ceiling as well, and they are great, nice and bright, there is not a down side to them that I know of, If I can find a nice vintage style outside "porch" light I like I will put it on and use LED's as well, and FYI, you can run 12 volt LED's off a 9 volt battery or as small 12 volt battery like a cordless drill uses if you want it all self contained so you dont have to try and run wires through the walls, just switch out batteries when they die.

Thanks Universal. Did you just use original housing and put in LED bulbs or did you buy all new? If you bought new, can you share pics or links to what you used?

I modified all the marker lights and built custom tail lights, here is a thread about my tail lights, vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/2302/taillightsand here is some pics of my marker lights. I bought the short 6 inch LED lights from ebay and put them in new vintage style side markers.
