I have two theories about some of the shoddy work I found while restoring my '61 Kenskill(Kenny the Whale), One, it was the first 1961 23.5' off the line and they still needed to work out the kinks or Two, it was some newbie's training day especially with the router. Case in point Water filler goes 1 foot to the left Rookie! No you don't need to install that plug, that was a feature on last years model! (this is the framing side of the trailer, silver is the insulation, and ash paneling is on the other side of that) What ever you do make sure you cut where the backers are! Fridge Vent 1 Fridge Vent 2 Heater Vent Shower Vent This one is my favorite, cause how dangerous it could have been, keep in mind this trailer was re-wired at some point with 50 amps. An air connection right behind the skin...nice! Now share your own pictures of shoddy work you found!

So far, the only two stick and tin trailers I have worked on that didn't seem to have much in the way of shoddy workmanship have been the Forester and the Aljoa. And I think the Forester was a copy of the Aljoa LOL.. Everything else seems to have been built by blind drunks.

Heard way too often on the assembly line; "cover it quick and nobody will ever know".
