I saw this on facebook, I think it would be neat to have this as your counter top and table (purist will cringe) you get some Pecky cypress wood and glow in the dark resin, and fill the natural crevasses with the glow in the dark stuff, here is an instructable on it. www.boredpanda.com/glowing-resin-table-mike-warren/ |

I had to laugh. My son has BEGGED me to paint my wings with glow in the dark paint! I compromised with agreeing to paint the edges of my step.
And I've been hooked on that site for quite a while!

I had to laugh. My son has BEGGED me to paint my wings with glow in the dark paint! I compromised with agreeing to paint the edges of my step. And I've been hooked on that site for quite a while! SusieQ I have thought about doing all kinds of crazy things to wings. Not going to post my ideas here because someone may beat me to the punch. But you'll all see my ideas in the future. I don't mind my ideas being copied and as a matter of fact I consider that a compliment. I just want to be first with them is all. |

My son is probably not the first one to think of glow in the dark wings, but I couldn't do it to my originals. I've seen some pretty strange things out there. I'm not looking for that kind of WOW effect.
I think the table top idea is cool. I wouldn't do it to my vintage trailer but I've thought that somewhere down the road it might be fun to remodel a newer trailer. There's lots of FEMA trailers out there already falling apart that are going to end up in the land fields.

I am strongly considering doing my counter top and table like this since for almost a year I have not been able to find a color and pattern that matches my interior that I like.

I can see the table now with this engraved "Beautiful trailer was restored by mobiltec in 2015 if you are still using this unit in 2115 you will realize the great amount of effort that went into the development of the skill to restore it."
If these trailers lasted 50 or 60 years the way they came from the factory this is not to far fetched.
Larry this is not a cheap shot, but a serious thought.When one stops to consider the artwork that could be carved and colored in, it could be beyond imagination.

I'm going to be doing something very different with wings, and I found a manufacturing company who can help me do it...... But since I have to finish my WHOLE trailer first... Your going to have to wait on that one  |
