Today I needed some larger Twisty Nails for a door and pulled out the last of what I had. I get them from HD in the Flooring dept. They are used to hold down the metal stips that they use for edges and joints and stuff. Someone had said that they didn't like them because they were aluminum but mine are magnetic. They are silver looking in color and very light weight but they are magnetic. My Home Depot only has the 1-1/4" size with about 1/4" of non twisted shank...does not seem like it would work right in this application.

OK just thought I'd throw that in there. Yours has smaller, full twist? Mine came in 3 finishes, but were too long
