They even left a few magazines in there for us to read. This guy was 2nd owner. Had intentions of fixing it up, but never did. Floor, frame, and skirt boards see solid. May have a little bit of water damage back in toilet area

Needs stove and a vintage fridge and countertops. Needs some work, but I think she will work for us. Monica named her "Baby" cause no one puts Baby in the corner.

Lights all work. Will check bearings for heat and I'll keep her down to 55.

Crap. Was going to spend the night on way home. Looks like we will keep going tonight. Snow coming in tomorrow. Trailer is tracking well. RH taillight was working, now out. LHI and side markers still work. Add one more thing to fix when we get her home

Made it home without incident. Learned 2 things: - plastic breaks easy in the cold - duct tape doesn't stick at 12 degrees
Pulled into gas station. Noticed RH aftermarket tail lamp PO put on was out. Lens was a snap in design. Tab broke when removing lens. Too cold and old plastic. I went to my handy "trailer pickup kit" courtesy of this board to get some duct tape to keep lens on. Learned that no matter how well you clean the aluminum, tape just doesn't stick when it's this cold. Good thing we only had 120 miles to go!
All, in all, a very uneventful trip. Waiting for 4-6" of snow tomorrow. Now the journey of restoration begins

Hi and Congratulations!
I love reading about these experiences of people finding a trailer and bringing it home. It's sort of like bringing home a new baby in a way - I think the name if fitting for you, Monica.
I think it would be fabulous to just do this kind of thing throughout the years as a hobby. I can see it. I would have a screen name of "The Stork". My service would be to bring home the new "baby" in the family.
Congrats again and the artifacts are a little mini treasure chest.
Great find. You will have soooooo much fun!
Cheers
Rod

Wow, gues I shouldn't have moved those photos in Photobucket. Anyone know how I can edit to re establish links to photos? Buffed up some metal Picked a design and color palette, ordering parts and tools and starting a blog (I'm amazed at Wordpress, but it will take time to get everything just right) . . . The journey continues . . . It's fun, but getting expensive!

Post the photos here in order:

We'll try to get them back where they belong.
