Hi folks, brand spanking new (new to us anyway) Vintage Trailer owner here. We picked up Dottie (as my wife has called her), a 1972 Shasta Compact a few weeks ago. I knew it had some water damage in the PASS side rear when I bought it and after a bit of peeling, I'm starting the repairs this weekend. Looking forward to being a member of this fine forum . Am sure I'll be asking a few questions after pouring through the available information. RJ

Hi rj, and welcome! Show us some pics! If you need help linking pics, you can find a photo tutorial and the beginning of each section of the board.
I have a '62 Compact that I've almost finished and '65 Compact that I've only peeked at, also. It should be the same body style as yours. We probably have matching rot. Mine's pretty bad from what little I've dared to uncover to far. I look forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks SusieQ. I'm a member of several other types of forums that I'm able to just attach a photo using my desktop files but the photobucket thing is new to me so I'll have to work on it.

Thanks bigbill. I'll see what I can do once I get home this evening. I believe I have the ability to use a Google photo storing/sharing application but haven't tried it yet. I've torn the old trailer down a bit to expose the water damage and will be diving in over the long VET Day holiday weekend. Can't think of a better winter project (grin). RJ
