Hello....yes....newbie here. I need help. I have posted a pic of my shasta and wondered if someone could tell me about the year. I know it was built in california. This was found on the back of the trailer.

I think this is the vin number? If it is inside the left front frame rail right behind the hitch that is your vin number most likely. It should also be stamped on the outside of the right frame rail near the hitch.

Welcome. Yes that looks like your VIN. As Bill said, it should also be stamped on the frame and it may have a letter or two in front of the numbers. Nice trailer. Would love to see the inside!

Yes, the VIN. 12340-wow. Easy to remember.

It appears to be an Airflyte, although from the photo it is not possible to tell...if it has a bathroom closet in it, then it would be a 16SC model. The push-out windows indicate it was built between 1957 and 1960. Looks like you have a fun project on your hands.

I think this is the vin number? You have a 1959 Shasta Airflyte, born in Van Nuys, California. On the vin plate, there is a missing prefix letter, which I believe to be "C". Thank you for the vin# and have fun with the restoration!
