I joined this wonderful site a few days ago and while I am still in the market for my Gem, i am really enjoying all the information I have absorbed (hopefully). I have decided that I am NOT stable enough to do the rebuild so I will allow one of you addicts to do my work and I'll just enjoy the finished product. Lol. I kno......somewhat of a cheater. Anyway, I am enjoying all the humor and knowledge shared here.

If you find a restored trailer, make sure the restoration is documented, and if you take one to a restorer, make sure they have good references and document the work with pics. Not everyone has the resources or skills to restore their own trailer and it is better to recognize that than start a project that can't be finished. Keep us updated on your "hunt."

Thank you suzieq. I appreciate the advice and will certainly take it all in concideration. I do have my eyes on a beauty and she has been done by a very reputible addict. Lol.

Me, an addict??? Welcome Candi. We are all here to help. There's a wealth of information here and lots of friendly advice. We try to keep our posts correct for vintage trailers. In other words, things we frown on will be pointed out rather rapidly...
