Loving it. How did you finally get that black underlayment stuff up. You said the water and newspaper idea was not working. And was that stuff sort of papery stuff or was it hard as a rock glue? Cuz the newspaper and water trick only works on the papery stuff.

DSL I've never seen an Aljo that looks like that. But then again I'm more familiar with 50s models. Are you sure it's an Aljo?

Cuz the newspaper and water trick only works on the papery stuff. We ended up using a heat gun and a Oscillating Multi Tool with a flat square cutter. I think the stuff was more glue like than paper but it did have some fibers. We heated a section and then used the tool to scrape it up. It would have been easier to replace the entire floor.

That is an interesting camper. I have never seen one like it. Mine is titled as a 1966 but I have seen many earlier Aljos that had blonde paneling. Post some interior pictures when you have a chance.

We heated a section and then used the tool to scrape it up. It would have been easier to replace the entire floor. This made me smile as it is exactly what I did early on in my Aloha. The countless hours I spent doing this were wasted as I eventually ended up replacing the entire plywood sub-floor. You are right, replacing the floor was much easier.

Yep. That's pretty much the way I have dealt with the glue type substance before. Thanks...

Wow! Never knew they made anything like that. Like I said I'm kinda stuck in the 50s but thought I had seen just about everything. Neat looking trailer.

Any more pictures will be posted under my original post in the welcome area. I wonder why my Aljo had the darker wood? Left overs possibly! Thanks for posting these.
