Thought I would let you all know that my portable air conditioner worked perfectly. Camping in Nashville with 100 degree temps we keep the temp in the trailer at a cool 70 degrees. I vented it though the floor in the closet and would pull it out when using it. Not a perfect set up but I like the flexibility of not having to haul the air conditioner when doing Fall camping. Thanks for following up. What make and model portable ac do you have? I may try this method before I cut a hole in the 63`s skin.

Makes sense to me to put it up high since cold air likes heading down. Cabinet it's attached to takes much of the weight so the wall structure doesn't mind?... could you include an outside pic, since the vent looks like it's pretty close to the J rail? Kirk

Your ankles will be nice and cool... Might want to consider a fantastic fan to suck the heat out of the upper portion of the camper. Here's how I did it in the 58 Deville. It requires cutting a hole in the skin and the installation of a vent door on the outside and I beefed up the framing on the inside of the closet. I have videos of all this.

I've seen people put the microwave IN the oven... No one ever uses the ovens in these little trailers anyhow... They are only used when you have a full stand up oven anyhow. The small ones are kinda dangerous to use.
