Hello, I am new to the site..new to my 1982 Shasta that my wife, Anne and I are getting ready to take oh its maiden voyage in a month. We are both new to a camper trailer! I know this is a silly question, but I cannot locate the tube under the trailer to empty the potable water tank! I see on rubber tube underneath, no cap on it, directly under the potable water intake that is on the side. Nothing comes out there. Where?

No silly question...first check the tube you found good for dirt dauber nest up in it. its possible that the drain valve is missing. stick a piece of flexible wire up in that tube and see what it does

Thanks for the reply. I did stick a coat hanger up there. Seemed to hit metal! and I had put about 4 gallons of water in it. And when I turned on the water pump with the switch at the sink, and turned on the faucet...no water!

Got it! A previous owner had replaced the water tank and the valve to empty is inside the trailer at the floor. Works.
