Hello all my name is Bobby and I am from Nacogdoches, TX. I was bored last Friday and decided that I wanted a trailer. It was something I had always wanted and it took little comvincing to get my finace on board so Sunday we went out and got one. Being a broke college student made me have to go about this a not so great way so now I have ended up with a trailer that I did not pay much for and did not get a title for. Yes bad I know but the story on it is that someone bought some land that used to be a deer lease and the trailer was left on it so they took it home and now I own it. Problem is I have no information on the trailer and can not find a vin number. I hope that maybe some of yall can help me identify what I have or if I'm even in the right place. From what I have gathered in the past few days I bought myself a Kenskill trailer, and from this brochure it looks like a 17.5'. myplace.frontier.com/~bwc2/KSKILLALLMINI.jpg Can anyone confirm this or tell me where to find a vin number on this thing? Thanks in advance for all the help. Here are some pictures...

Thanks, the truck is my baby and the trailer is already looking better. We have painted the outside and I'm working on a section of the ceiling on the inside then it's getting painted.

a lot of campers like Shasta's have the vin inside the frame rail in the front where it comes to a point kind of in the area where the hand crank is, inside the frame rail mine in on the street side frame rail (drivers side) probably rusted over.

Hi Bobby Welcome to VTT and congrats on your trailer. If it has been sitting long you want to check your tires carefully they may have good tread but be dry rotted and ready to fail. Very few trailer tires ever wear out, they normally dry rot and blow out sometimes causing serious accidents. Please take the time to explore this web site and you will gain a vast knowledge of the things to expect from an old trailer. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks bill and the tires aren't brand new but they aint dry rotted either. The guy I bought it from had just put some used tires on it which are basically brand new. I had a previous bad experience with some trailer tires on a car hauler and definitely learned my lesson there.

Wow..the interior looks a lot like the inside of my 1982 19' Shasta! San\me setup!. My VIN is on the frame leading up to the point in front, just as someone else mentioned. Looks really good. Jim

Laughing at your username, Bobby! Nacogdoches is a great town and Stephen F is a good little school! You will find a TON of information on this site, and you will also find a Vintage Kenskill Trailer Group on Facebook, you'll enjoy chatting with those folks too. Good luck!

Laughing at your username, Bobby! I'm blonde and slow, I just caught the username. Too funny. I have a dear friend in Nacogdoches.
