Hello all, Newbie here. I'm hoping I can get some help finding ANY information on a 1969 Swiss Colony Camper I just bought for restoration. She is 19' long and a single axle. Electric works, not sure about plumbing yet. She came with all original papers but an owners manual. Thank you!!

Here's one I had a year or two ago and I think there is another member here who has one with an overhead bunk above the front tongue.

Wow! That's a beautiful restoration!! Thank you for responding to my question. Can I ask if you were able to find any information ie; owners manuals, advertisement, brochures, etc? DId you just go ahead with the restoration and wing it? I have messaged the other owner and haven't heard back. I'm still trying to figure out how to load photos and I'll post pics as soon as I can. My model looks almost exactly as yours but the door in at the back and there are no back windows. What year is yours? Thanks again!!

Mine was a 66 or 67 I think. It's been a while. I had just cleaned mine out, started tearing out the rotted ceiling wood and repairing the split seamed roof when it sold to the next owner. The roof seam towards the back was actually separated by an inch or so around the roof vent. After repairs were done to the metal roof it sold to someone local who the hired me to remove the rotted wood before he started his rehab. I've never heard from him or the Swiss again oddly enough. Funny thing about mine though was the previous owner had titled it with a "vin" number that was actually the patent number on the tongue jack! One thing about the Swiss, it's built like a tank. It has 2" thick wall construction and has actual 2"x4" wall studs in some areas and the cabinets are really well built too. I loved it the short time I had it. At the time I probably had close to 10 trailers in my driveway so I was flipping them before I could even work on some of them. Now 2-3 years later I can't find any more in my area. Good Luck and enjoy the site, soup

Hey Scorpio, Welcome to the board. My wife and I own the 1965 with the upper bunk that Soup was talking about. Search "swiss colony" on this site and you will see some of the posts and discussions. I have not been able to find much information on this brand. The granddaughter of the company founder chimed in and told us a little of the history, but that's it. I do have a few pictures of flyers and such, but no manuals. I think that you will find that most of the "instructions" are the same as other brands as the equipment and appliances were shared by most companies of the time. My best advice is to scour this board and dig in!
Nick

Too bad we do not have a Member that lives in Elkhart that could spend a bit of time in the reference library at the RV Hall of Fame and Museum to research Swiss Colony campers...those campers pictured in these posts look a lot like the Bonanza campers.
