2014 Oldest Camper Contest
Just for the fun of it.
Category one. Oldest camper, travel trailer in use. You must have pulled it to a campsite and camped in it this year.
Category Two. Oldest pick up truck camper in use. You must have driven it to a campsite and camped in it this year.
Category Three. Oldest motor home in use. Manufactured motor home or any other vehicle converted into a motor home. You must have driven it to a campsite and camped in it this year.
Category Four. Oldest all others. Any thing on wheels you taken to a campsite and camped in this year that doesn't fit in category one, two or three.
A link to pictures is always nice.
Best, Paul B

Talk about unfair, you'd better add "Pro" and "Amateur" categories.

This is just for the fun of it. It's just an excuse to share some truly vintage campers.
Thank's for posting the pictures.

Dang - before I read the whole thread, I thought, based on the "oldest camper" line in the title, you were asking about US and not the campers themselves. Almost had a shot at winning something!!!

I'm sure I'll be outdone quickly, but we've been camping in our '68 Red Dale all summer.

It ain't the years, it's the mileage.

Category four was inspired by my youth. When I was younger I spent a number of nights "camping" in my truck. In bad or cold weather I would sleep in the cab. In nice weather I would sleep under the stars in the bed. Not a true camper but I did camp out in it.
Once I saw a guy sleeping/camping on his Honda motorcycle. He was curled up on the seat and gas tank with a small pillow on the handle bars. It was an mid 70s Honda with the nice large two person seat. Not sure how he kept from falling off.
I'm sure there are lots of interesting non standard "campers."

Forgot about our 57 Corvette: Packed and ready for a rally this weekend! My most interesting camp out was with my 76 Triumph TR6 Motorcyle, Lake Tahoe. Started to get chilly around midnight and I had nowhere to go. So, I parked under a tree with my sleeping bag and my arm thru the front wheel spokes. NOBODY was gonna steal my bike... LOL. At least not without me waking up. Ah, a kid's good memories.
