Hello all. I've been lurking for about a year and learned a lot from just reading. I figure I should finally join and help any I can. My wife and I have owned a 1963 airflyte for about a year now. Two camping trips in it so far. We have some original parts but the PO modified the layout to work for him. We're going back towards original slowly but surely. I've done some electrical updating since that failed one weekend and replaced the original jack after that failed on the first trip. We're planning to paint and reinstall the original stove at some point. I'll work on a few pics soon. Thanks for all of your help so far.

Here a picture of the exterior. PO, who is my uncle, added the board to hang a tarp off from. He didn't know about the c-rail.

Nice trailer! Your uncle's awning board did make me snicker a little.

Here's one of the benches and table that we installed. Not exactly factory but they'll work for us. My uncle took out the original dinette, installed a table in the corner to the left and used a computer chair to sit at it. We're planning to top the table with that same laminate as the current sample on it. He installed the laminate flooring too. You may also see that the closet door to the left is missing. I edited the front window to hide my truck. Just one window pane is actually frosted.

Hey all. Took a small step on my camper this weekend. We took down the awning board and filled the exterior holes with jb weld steel stik. Dried darker than I like but we'll see how it holds up. Here's a newer picture.

She looks much nicer with that board gone! Looking forward to seeing what you do with her.

If the JB weld doesn't hold up, I saw one guy who simply put some screws in it. I would thing screws with some rubber backed washers might work great too! Love the Shasta, I just sold a '63 Astrodome that is very similar.

I used the white waterproof JB Weld that is putty like and comes in a tube. I put metal repair tape behind the holes and I sanded them so it would stick. It is very solid in the holes, although getting it smooth was task I only accomplished on a few, but mostly because of the dents, not the holes. Btw, it will not stay in dents, only holes.
