all I know is the guy either just picked it from the restorer and was on the way home, or was moving it from where he restored it to his house, or to a new buyer or something, not many details were given., and a 18 wheeler hit him on the highway. saw this on a facebook group, looks like fresh wood and a fresh restore, so so sad.

So sad! This is part of the reason we keep ours off the interstate. It's back roads for us.

He said he was delivering it to the new owners. Three months of work down the drain. R.I.P.

I can't even imagine…hope he had good insurance. There's No Such Thing as "good insurance" when insuring a vintage vehicle.
You want the "right kind" of policy in place. The kind of policy you want in place is called Agreed Value, NOT a Stated Value policy (which is depreciated in value due to vehicle age).
Any insurance company will honor "the policy terms" that were purchased.
The confusion comes from not understanding the difference in the insurance terms used to describe the policy coverage.

This trailer should not be a problem if he had it sold and was delivering it there is a provable value that would stand up in court. The amount it was sold for if he is a legit business.

Now this is pay back LOL.... Folks, there are a lot of crooks out there taking advantage of the vintage trailer boom. I bet he had no special insurance on this trailer.

Well, what goes around, comes around, certainly applies to the seller, but geez, the poor trailer didn't deserve it!
