Nice looking trailer reddog. I just purchased a Golden Falcon and will be picking it up tomorrow. The arms on my rock guard are intact. I can snap a couple of photos for you as well, gfgirl. I am still unsure of the year of my trailer but the style is very similar to yours. The layout in mine is exactly like reddog's except my trailer is a 21 ft.

Lol!
Didn't see this, 'n just asked for some pics over on your thread! That would be very helpful.
Yes, you have a beautiful double sink and more counter space. You must also have a more complete bathroom.? I think your front dinette looks deeper too.

reddog, I went to the trailer today and took some photos for you. Hopefully they give you the information you needed. I posted it on my thread. I found out my trailer is a 1968. I took another walk around, looked underneath, banged on the sides etc. and she seems solid.

Spent the weekend out at the caravan, but had poor weather, and got much less done than I'd hoped. I've finished the tear out on the back third, and of the ceiling, and can't go any further without a bit less rain, and a bit more warmth. Temp didn't get above 12C (low 50s), so didn't want to do any putty work. Good thing about the rain with all the tear out I've done... I can see where I'm leaking. I took took some pics of the rock guard: Closed: Propped open: gfgirl: I have close ups of various parts with measurements, pm me if you're interested.

Okay, I see what you mean now about our set ups being a bit different. How does your rock guard lock in place? I think fabricating arms would be easy. Mine is just a simple angled aluminum, well more "L" shaped with a couple of holes and rivets. When I get the trailer I can give you measurements if you're interested. I can try to show better angles on the arms as well.

I know you said yours is a 1970 but you questioned the year on my thread. Is it registered as a 1970? Just curious why you question it. Your tail lights do look '70s but I found a '67 that is near identical to yours except for the tail lights. I'm starting to wonder if Glendale was like Mopar in the old days. You know, just mix it up try new things. It was just a thought because almost every trailer looks different from the next. It's kind of weird.

Sigh... My registration hasn't been sorted out. The PO inherited from his father who lived up near North Bay. Wasn't able to locate the registration. Need to get PO to notarize his statement, which he's agreed to do, but it hasn't come yet.
At the rate things are going though, I'll be able to register it as self built....
The serial number is earlier than yours, which is why I wondered.

Sorry, forgot to add: all my running lights are circa 2013... PO update them all. The footprints of the originals are clearly visible, and are dead on for gfgirls...

Right now it uses two screws through the bottom most holes. The hardware suggests that there used to be pins like yours, that have been lost. Measurements would be great! One of my friends who are hosting the caravan is a welder and metal fabricator, so....

I am active on the forum. I have a Glendale I am restoring. The Golden Falcon was the high end trailer for Glendale. If you have photos of your trailer please post them. I love seeing the old Glendales because it helps me with my layout. Also, I am always on the hunt for a photocopy of an old owners manual.. in case you have one.

The door can be rebuilt, you don't have to buy a replacement one. Mine is shot too, I'll take some photos when I rip it apart so you can see the process. It looks like your windows are all there, so you mainly need, new glass, and to remove and reseal them. Don't just seal the outside (new butyl tape,) a lot of people make this mistake and then find out the window panes leak. You need to have them reglazed where needed. Find out where the leaks are, and then we can advise you on how to proceed.
From what I can see, you may need to remove the J-rail, and replace the ceiling panel? Is it leaking? You do it from the outside and it sounds harder than it really is. Just make sure that all the repairs you do, are proper long term, its worth the work because you have a beautiful trailer there that is fully original except for the floor, which can be redone with armstrong vintage look tiles, if you want to bring it back to a full vintage look.

Ok thats good to know! I was gonna go check some of the scrap yards and see if they had one in better condition The ceiling is leaking ... I was going to take that down and figure out where its coming in and get that fixed! I would like to do some updating to it ... and make it a lot cleaner looking inside, since its going to be a summer home for my son and I for a long time to come The windows I will have to figure out how bad they really are too ... I know the skylights are in rough shape for sure
