Ordered the Bargman clear light with switch but I can always add an indoor one, too. It will be here Wed.

I see there are some purists on here. I like the "vintage" look as well, but sometimes you just have to be practical. It's not like you're hanging a florescent light out there.

I have been looking at vintage boat lights, they have great lines and shapes, many are chrome, but a nice one aint cheap, I have this one I have been trying to decide if I want to use it for over a year, it's kind of big, but if I get it rechromed and put white lenses in it it would be cool. or this one!

They weren't supposed to be here until tomorrow but we have a distribution center close. I got the right elbow connector for my drain pipe that you showed me and I got the one with the hose as well. It fits on the outside, too. Think it would be easy to connect it to a grey water container. Now I have all of my seam sealer, too. Just gotta' get those wires finished so I can get the roof on!!!!

I saw this one today during my trolling.. I am thinking that if I put it with the amber side pointing to the ground, it would look like a Chrome version of the Bargman plastic ones.. what do you think? It sells for $30.00 Does it look to modern? Porch light $30

SZQ, I wanted to drop this cheap fix that I did a few post ago but I could not find the pictures. The PO had puncuterd the skin right at through the door frames edge on our girl. When I had the door frame out repairing other things I was at a loss on a fix or a plug. The hole was in the wrong place for a conventional repair or fixture mount. The hole was huge but I was able to use and exterior flood light socket. It took to thread on the cut skin and screwed in farily tight. I then anchored it. I ground off the raised lettering and shot it with some silver paint. I think that I might have painted it the "Almond" if I did it over, but... I'm using a exterior landscape light rig and bulb from a slavaged piece of trash from my back yard bushes. I'm wired to the PO's light switch on the closet and then straight to the fuse pannel / Battery.. The illumination is suttle and quaint. Will see how it does next week. It looks a little Ghetto.. but for now? I'll try it! The bulb is small and is recessed into the socket.. recessed..

Thanks, Pathfinder. You came up with a really good "fix". You really did have a mess with that big hole. I would have never thought of that. I'm amazed that you found something to fit under the eyebrow so well. And I don't think it looks ghetto. It's perfect for a subtle light, and that's all you need. I did look at the landscape lights when I was looking for a light for my teardrop, but I did not have it wired for 12 v. I'm sure there are people who don't approve of the cheap shed/porch light that I put on my TD I love it, it's very functional!!! I'll have to dig up a pic.
I was planning on putting mine above my door on my Shasta. But it would be easier to hide the wire in the cubby/cabinet next to the door.

Vintage trailer supply sells a really cool porch light in chrome, it is expensive but matches a Bargman handle. Made for a Spartan actually. We have that light and a light in the handle.
