I'm having a hard time identifying our gas light. I obviously need a mantle and a globe, but what's this about a ceramic nozzle? Thanks, and many more questions to come!  |

The ceramic nozzle screws onto the threaded piece at the top. It is what you tie the mantle to...
Not sure what the brand is.

That resembles the Sunbeam 400 SunLite that was used in so many of the campers through the 60's and 70's. They were the on es with the conical Pyrex globe that is so hard to find.  It obviously is not that one in particular. There may be a label on the back of the lamp if you can dismount it from the wall and get a peek of the back side of it. I think I have the manual somewhere for the Sunlite, might help identify what is similarly supposed to be there. I will see if I can find it today. |

Russ, Judging by the control knob, I believe yours may be the Veritas "Crocus" lamp model V-500. It was very similar to the SunLite, and had much the same globe.  Here are the mantles and nozzles:  |

PortaJohn or Ten, would you be able to post a photo of the V400 without the globe? I have this in a 1969 Scotty I just purchased, but it looks as if somebody disassembled it and then put it back together incorrectly. Thank you.

Worse case you can always switch it out with a different style gas lamp. I did that.
