I haven't found a way to search topics in this forum on the search option. I am going to be using my 63 Shasta in my warehouse project as my bedroom. I want to stabilize it since I'm not really a fan of earthquakes. Just 175lbs of me and my 9lb hairy girlfriend in there, not talking about job interviews, auditions or dance parties etc. going on. I have plenty of lumber sitting around and plenty of building twist jacks. I am thinking of using two 4"x6"s vertically somewhere under the rear frame with notches at the top to fit the frame in and two under the front if more stability is needed. I also wonder if I am better to just stack lumber horizontally as vertically may not prevent swaying. I also don't want to damage the frame by supporting it in a way it wasn't designed to be. Any suggestions or thoughts? Also, my electricity appears to be original and in good shape with one breaker. Has two plug boxes which I believe are added. I won't be using more power than a TV and the original lighting. How do I make sure everything is safe to use? Thanks

Hi Greg,
Is the axle still on the trailer? If the axle is still on the trailer, then you can use those corkscrew jacks you have lying around. Level out your trailer as best you can with the tongue jack. I am assuming your floor is level. PLace one corkscrew jack aft of each wheel. Place more or less half of the distance to the end of the trailer. Place the screw jacks up under the C channel of the frame and two more up front under the C - channel just behind the front wall if that makes sense. You will also want to chalk the wheels.
Others are encouraged to answer the other questions or add to my suggestion.

Hi Rod, I will try that. I'm keeping the axle on as long as I'm not restoring it. Thanks again for the picture downloading advice. And that "have a beer" advice which apparently I had a premonition you were going to say that and couldn't wait for it in writing.
