Hi! I'm convinced that this is the right place to be.
I purchased a vintage 1964 Forester 16 ft camper online. I didn't see it in person before I bought it. I'm sure you all can guess the rest of the story from there. I brought her home yesterday. Towed like a dream! Once home, I did the thorough inspection that I should have done before I paid for her. Yes, I paid WAY too much, and oh yes, it has problems.
I'm not one to dwell upon woulda/shoulda/coulda; It's all water under the bridge now. I have her, and I want to keep her, and I will be doing a frame-off restoration out of necessity. I'm here to learn and get to know others going through the same process.
I joined a couple of Facebook groups and have already heard about and checked into the Canned Ham site. I've watched some videos, and have already been looking into links for restoration supplies. I've started reading the threads here as well.
I have a lot of questions which I will get to after I have read many more threads.

Welcome, I have a 1962 Forester and love it. I’ve had it for almost 10 years. I’ve restored many campers, but this is my favorite.
When I bought the camper...

Welcome. Your teardown on a Forester is going to be a little frustrating. They were made like tanks.
