Retired a couple of years ago from aviation industry. Always interested in Spartan and live in Tulsa area. Will be looking for lots of help in this recondition. The Spartanette is rough but I think is doable. I’ve never restored a vintage trailer. Hoping to keep the trailer as a cabin at a local lake. To start we are testing for Asbestos. All original appliances are there and it even has the original Swamp Cooler. Please let me know if you have suggestions. www.flickr.com/photos/199164042@N08/53172458903/in/dateposted-public/

Hi Kent,
The ceiling above the kitchen looks to be decent around the swamp cooler opening.
Your floor seems to be the biggest issue. I remember seeing a video on YouTube where someone used an interlocking system of Marmoleum tiles in a Spartan trailer to cover the original floor. Maybe that would be an option in dealing with the floor? Search on "Installing Marmoleum in a vintage trailer" on Youtube
Just an idea, not necessarily a suggestion.
Cheers,
Rod

Thanx Rod. I guess you saw the pics on Flickr. I didn’t know how to put them on the forum. I may replace all the flooring. Is there a used market for that original swamp cooler?

I doubt anyone would want the swamp cooler. They tend to be for truly parked trailers, a little awkward to tow with one in the wind. You might try an AZ Craigs.
