Hello I just bought a 62 Aloha, nearly all original. I think it was an unreal find. Literally everything as it was built except the addition of a small inconspicuous gas heater. I was looking to renovate an older trailer but this is so stock that I must restore it as much as possible. It does not have a 12v system and the ice box door is damaged to the point of replacement although I wouldn't mind replacing the whole thing with a 12v. My questions: 1) Where can I track down a vintage ice box or preferably a vintage looking 12v refrigerator? 2) Has anyone added a 12v system to a trailer of that era without a complete tear down? Ihave watched Mobiltec but I do not need to do anything to that extent. But the entire interior and exterior electrical needs replaced/upgraded. Can anyone point me towards a place to get an education? Thank you in advance

Look on Craigslist and Facebook for parts. Also trailertrasher1@gmail.com has salvage parts. There are new vintage look dorm fridges available. Just do a search?
12 volt systems are easy to add. Please read our 12 volt section down the board. There's lots of info there and research is paramount before you start.
Why does the electrical need to be upgraded? Most of the time, the original 110 system is in good condition. The addition of a breaker box is recommended if it only has fuses. Again, do your homework to learn. We have a section on this as well.
Don't forget the tow wiring. Read up on that.

If you lift the skin you'll find out if there is any rot while gaining excellent access to an area to run 12 volt wires.
