I was wondering if I could go to another state to apply for a title? I’m gonna sell my 65 Shasta and thought it might spread my sale area out if I had a title. I don’t have to have one in Alabama and I asked our title girls and they told me it was exempt and a title searches are trashed for anything under a 75 model. Just wondering if I could do it in another state that requires them.

Vermont might be an option.

My brother got a title in Vermont for his vintage Volkswagen. it’s legal and they’ll title almost anything. You can do it long-distance too.

Lately I have been titleing trailers in CA of all places. That's because Nevada changed all their laws and if you have no title it is impossible to get one. I know I tell people not to buy a trailer if it has no title but I get free trailers from time to time. So I title them in CA and then bring that title with me to the NV DMV and switch it over and everything works out fine.
