Greetings all, I just started using my Atwood G6A-8E electronic water heater, and a couple of minutes before it shuts down when it gets up to temperature, I can hear this beeping sound coming from it. When I looked at the control board, I can see two small LED’s blinking every time it beeps; it’s almost like an alarm clock. Is this normal? The flame doesn’t look very blue either, so I’m wondering if it’s out of adjustment. I contacted an on line service tech, he said I should replace the Chinese made circuit board wit a $100 US made board, but that there was no danger in using the water heater. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas? Thanks!

Well, I don't think the beeping is normal but as long as it is working not necessarily dangerous.
Have you read the manual? There should be a troubleshooting section. You could also call the manufacturer and ask what the beeps mean. Most modern RV shops should be able to tell you what the beeping means as well.

I did look at the manual, but it doesn’t mention any conditions like what I’m experiencing. I’ll try calling Atwood tomorrow to see what they can tell me. I’m currently camping in it, this morning I timed the process, from the moment I turned it on it took 11 minutes before the beeping started, the heater shut off after running 34 minutes. I’ll post anything useful I get from Atwood.
