Bought an old Shasta found the vin# C9442 But I cannot find what year? It’s around the 15’ length has a shower and toilet. Can anyone give me a date on camper. I believe it’s around 56-57 model. flic.kr/p/2k281RM

It was built in the Van Nuys CA plant. According to the VIN database that Ross had accumulated, the VIN you have sits between two entries, one in '57, the other in '58. The one listed for '57 is labeled "Unknown with bathroom, 17'-6". If I had to guess at the year I would say '57,
Is your measure (15 foot length) including the bumper and the hitch end, or just the cabin?
Somewhere in this time period was when Shasta introduced the "new" line of models which included the Airflyte and the Deluxe, and the addition of the wings. This appears to never have had wings, and my guess, and it is only a guess, is that you have one of the forerunners to that line, quite possibly the earliest of the 16SC model.

The 15.5 footish measurement was only the cabin area. Bumper to hitch is about 18’. It does fit the 1900 deluxe specifications and has electric brakes but it shows first year built was 1958? The guy said it had wings but the only thing in that area is some 2 way stick tape and wouldn’t think that’s how factory would mount them. Thanks for the information. I've seen a couple of these over the years. As suggested above, this is an very early ham version of the later Airflyte Deluxe. Not many of them were produced.

Thanks for the information. I suspected it was one of a few because of the vent on passenger side of camper. Just couldn't find photos online that matched the setup on my camper. Well I now have some work to complete to get this unit back up to it's former glory days.

It took us long time to decided what model to register it under. We came to 1957, heck, I’m not sure why, but I am 99 % sure. She has the shape of a 1956, but the amenities of a 1957 1900. Also, her vin number was 1957.

Removing the paint has been successful! Put it on wait 3 days and use a pressure washer. flic.kr/ps/3UE9kg
