New to the Forum and to the renovation. Cant seem to locate anything to identify the make of this trailer I just bought. Registration lists it as a MANOR. flic.kr/p/2jyVSuN

It has a Deville-like paint job. And the wheel wells are Deville shaped. It seems like a 70s model but maybe earlier. Of course some PO could have copied that paint design to make it look like a Deville. Also I have no idea if the Catolac Corporation made a front kitchen like that. And no rear window is pretty different. The ash interior wood is nice. It's very cool inside, whatever it is. Sorry couldn't be of more help. Maybe someone else has ideas. Good luck with it! Looks like it will be a fun project.

When we were trying to identify ours, there were a million of that shape, field and Stream, teepee, roadrunner, etc. The only Manor I know is a Spartan and that ain't one. Joint Tin Can Tourists on Facebook.... Tim Heinz has a talent for IDing campers.

DO you think anybody would want the old cabinetry? I hate to see it go to the dump....not sure if it is worth it for a restorer.

Most campers can't be repaired working from the inside. It creates structural issues. There are exceptions but not many.
Take a look at the video series here. cannedhamtrailers.com

There are expert trailer restorationists on this site that can pipe in here to help you, and I am not an expert but I have done a couple. I will caution you right out the gate by telling you not to throw anything away until you are done. Take tons of photos and measurements to refer back to as you disassemble. Your trailer was built the way it was built for a reason. Lots of engineering and design went into it to make it safe and balanced. If you change it you could make it unsafe, and a lot less valuable as well. Trailer cabinets hold the walls up, not the other way around. Framing is repaired or replaced from the outside, so that means the skin needs to come off. Please refer to the many posts on this site and Mobiltec videos on Youtube. He has a website , cannedhamtrailers.com and a Patreon class too. Vikx on this site has an ebook that would help you immensely as well. You have a unique little antique trailer and I'd love to see it restored to it's once glory.

Vintage trailers are repaired from the outside with the skins off. There is no way to get to the sills and joists below floor level from the inside.

I dunno. The placement of the Jalousie off center is perplexing on the front wall. I wonder if it was a homebuilt.
It was a person's "castle" or Manor.

Thanks all - I do plan on removing skin to repair rotted wood. Great note about structural integrity. I am a general contractor so I plan on being careful in the renovation, doing all my homework and putting it all back together in exceptional fashion......I am very excited for the journey! I will post pics periodically.
