I am wanting to add a mini fridge for my shasta compact. Since it will be electric only and not propane, do I need to add a roof vent? I plan on installing a side wall vent, but is the roof one necessary? Additionally, should I plan on running a drain tube out the bottom of the floor? Are there any tutorial videos showing this? Thanks for any info you have to offer!

Welcome to VTT. Dorm fridges don't need outside vents. I try to set mine on some sort of open platform to give a few inches under. Allow side clearance at the front. 004 i Micro (3) by vikkx, on Flickr If it's sealed at the front, I add at least 2 side vents to allow air flow. (vent covers available at boat or RV shops) Also, leave at least 3" at the rear. The fridge needs to breathe. 004 f Fridge install (6) by vikkx, on Flickr This fridge also had open space below in the closet and about 8" clearance at the top. It's always worked very well, even in hot weather.
