I'm looking for a 2"-3" wide aluminum trim piece to cover where 2 skins overlap. Any ideas where I can buy a 8' piece?

Guttering & roof flashing should work. Comes in 10' or 20' roll if I'm remembering correctly.

bruceo do you mean along the edge of the roof? Photos will help as there are specific types of trim for different parts of the trailer.

I'm looking for the piece that runs on top from side to side (about 7') and covers where 2 pieces of roof skins overlap.

Welcome!
Is it leaking there? Damaged? Was there a trim piece there before? Photos may help us understand what you're trying to accomplish and offer suggestions.

Here is what I used:
Rub railOur Holiday Rambler had a narrow aluminum strip across the roof seam originally but it wasn't salvageable. Looked everywhere before settling on this. Not the cheapest fix, but worked. I filled the void with several layers of putty tape and put the screws in the channel. vintagetrailersupply.com/airstream-rub-rail-1956-65-vts-211/
