So I got a circuit breaker for the charge line on my 7 pin tow wires. It won't fit in my J box with all the tow wires (bought one on Amazon). Do I need to add another j box to put this in? For the 2 posts on circuit breaker- do I have this right: -one post is for hot battery line coming off the fuse block in the trailer -other post is for (1) black wire from 7 pin tow line and (2) positive line to battery. Do I have that right? So confusing Thanks Kathy

I'm a little confused about what you are asking but if you are talking about the wire that charges your trailer battery as you drive down the road, it should have a fuse or breaker on the car end where it connects to the car wiring. I think you are describing the proper hook up for the breaker. But I would install a fuse or breaker at each end of the wire since it has the potential to be hot from either end. I hope I understood what you were asking.

The circuit breaker can go in a small box under/near the tongue. Many new RV's leave them exposed. I put mine in the 2 gang box containing the tow wiring and hot into the trailer. Your box is very different, I don't use that kind.
The circuit breaker itself is labeled Batt on one post and Aux on the other. The battery hot goes to the Batt as does the 7 way charge line. Aux is for the hot into the trailer to the fuse box.

I just put my in-line breaker near the battery in the battery box to protect it from the weather. Right or wrong, not sure, but it's been working for 7 years and almost 35k miles with no issues.
Again, jmho

Again, jmho That is the best place to have it. In a newer vehicle they have the charging wire fused on the vehicle end so a braker at the trailer battery is all you need. On an older vehicle that you have to run a wire to the trailer plug from your power source then use a breaker at both ends.
