Well, not actual work done on trailer but did purchase the Variable Speed Oscillating Multi-Tool at Harbor Freight. This is my first purchase directly related to work on the Globestar. I am not doing or purchasing anything until feel comfortable from recommendations on Mobiltec and this site before doing anything. I am going to purchase Vikx's book also and have downloaded many diagrams from this site.
The Variable Speed Oscillating Multi-Tool purchased is the one that comes with the following attachments:
(2) triangular sanding sheets, (1) 3 in. triangular sanding pad, (1) angled cutter blade, (1) angled scraper blade
It was on sale for $22.99 so purchased it as so many people have recommended the tool. When I got home from store, I looked online at reviews for this inexpensive tool and was surprised that most reviews on different tool sites were very positive on this Multi-Tool and especially with the attachments that are included on this sale. A few sites even said it was superior in some way to Dremel and other name brands with an exception of a slow start but not sure what that means. Since I have arthritis in my fingers and wrists, weight of tools to be used for long time is important and this one is light.
It may not sound like much progress but it is one step closer than yesterday to starting the slow step-by-step process of totally rebuilding the 1970 Lil Hobo Globestar.
Thank you to Mobiltec and all the other members who contributed to the Tool Thread where this tool was mentioned.
If anyone has this tool and used it on their rebuild or renovation, it would be greatly appreciated to hear all the different things this tool was used for in your build. I know Mobiltec mentions it in his videos so it has to be worth the purchase and would love to hear how others used their Multi-Tool.
I tried to post in the Tool Thread but was not able to and don't know what I was doing incorrectly so posted this here and if it needs to be moved maybe someone can move it to appropriate forum.
