Hi Friends,
In the continuing odyssey of Andy the Westerner and the trailer that just never seems to get finished he will be moved back to dad’s house soon. I lost my workshop and storage area and I need to move ole Andy back into my carport at my house for storage with no workspace.
I am looking for comments on how to move the walls. In the image below, you can see how we moved only one wall a few months ago to a garage on the property where my workshop was. I want to move both walls stacked on top of the original floor having them stacked on the pallets to clear the wheels. I would move the walls together. It’s just easier logistically to do it all at once. The distance to move is only about 1.25 miles.
Pallets screwed to the floor
The curbside wall has to be interior side up and on top of the stack because of the door frame. It's thicker than the rest of the wall. So, the question is what do I do with the streetside wall? Face it interior side down or interior side up? I would place a moving blanket anywhere the interior wall would be in contact with anything else whether that be a pallet or the other wall. The blanket is to minimize any scratching to the interior paneling.
