Thin sheet aluminum beyond the corrugated stuff. Aluminum L channel on the edges with L brackets at the corners mostly held together with pop rivets. I attached the corrugated to the sheet aluminum with screws/nuts at the points where they meet up.
Best part is that only two double ended hanger bolts & nuts attach it to the trailer and it takes maybe two minutes to put on and remove. Attach a hanger bolt midway up on both sides of the window frame and make corresponding holes in the window guard. Align the holes - get the bolt through and cinch down the nut and it's rock solid.

It's looking very good! Don't forget to raise the roof vent before laying the new roof. That will prevent a "dip" around the vent...

The construction of your camper is really interesting. Almost like they were designing without a historic guide. To a lesser degree, I thought this about our Forester. Being made by a boat company in the off season, they over-built everything because they weren't starting with past construction guidelines/designs in mind.

Don't forget a thin layer of gutter seal might help in areas like this.

Hi Allen,
I have been away for a while and just got caught up.
I know I have said it before, but your pioneering work on the Holiday House is short of amazing. You are tenacious, and persevere. You are also well skilled for this project and I admire you. I think some folks could have easily gotten in over their heads.
The trailer went to a good home when you found it.

Do like I do and forget the butted joints and just do a fold over with J rail. The 56 Shasta was like that with the top being fold ever and the lower half being butted. I just added some new skin and did the fold over on the entire thing.

Thanks Larry -
I've contemplated going with foldovers in some areas that did not originally have them and will be taking a close look at making them work. I can definitely do it down the rear edges but that corner in my photo is not perfectly supported by the wood under it so trying to bash a foldover there will be challenging... Will need to get creative :-)
