I think we all forgot the obvious. To help narrow down the year check the bottom of the sink and backs of mirrors. Most of those were dated when they were manufactured. Assuming they are original it may help. Also, if you have a friend a the local PD, have him run the VIN. It may have been registered in GA before and there would be a record of it. Let me know if you don't know one.
Just an FYI, if it was last registered in GA and its been years since it was registered, you will probably have to pay the back taxes. It will probably be about $20 a year, if I remember correctly. Trailer may have just gotten more expensive but still a good deal for the condition.

Thanks Doug I'll check those areas next time I'm out there. As for the registration, I'm planning on going by later this week to the tag orifice to find out what the total expense will be. I assumed it would work like mist vehicles now that they changed the tax law to be the one time tax on purchase plus annual registration. Either way I'm okay with it since I may be able to charge my company $75 a day for using it next year during a 9-12 month project in statesboro. I'll pay for itself thousands of times over in that case.

They look at it at as $25 a night savings from the hampton inn over say ~10 months. Better amenities at the rv park (and with my bad back, so far the trailer has been more comfortabe than the local hampton inn as of yet since I'm basicaly living in it now due to working so close) so I figure average $1800/month after $480/month rv fee with pool, laundry, cable, power water, etc, etc. Over 10 months I'm looking at 18k plus and food per diem and overtime. $$$. Regardless of expense may end up being my best invesment to date. We'll see though.

Larry I don't know if you could get by on that or not that would only be $2250.00 a month for one and if you could rent ten of them for that it would only give you $22,500. a month. I doubt if that would keep you in dog food. What do you think

Well it sounds like a fantastic investment to me. And you will have a really nice trailer to boot.
I used to camp out in a tent when I got perdium pay if the weather was nice. The KOAs have everything including a hot tub. And the hot tub was the most important part.
Good job indeed.

Here's where I'd be staying. Assuming of course the client is fine with a 2.5-3M budget. parkwoodrv.com/RvParkAmenities.htm. I plan to go by and check out the area next week. So we'll see.

Site 50 is where I would be. Close to the pet walk area. Still far enough out and only have neighbors on one side.

Phoenix is correct. Very hard to come by -- a year ago I couldn't find any others. We bought our 1969 Phoenix Carbet last spring and have been resto-vating it (vintage style with some modern conveniences). It leaked like a sieve which rotted most of the frame. Gutted it and have been rebuilding it from scratch. I could go on and on, but we're trying to hit the road in the morning. FYI, someone recently created a Facebook page for 1960's Phoenix Trailers. You'll see the silver body and white stripe seemed to be their trademark. Happy Phoenix-ing!

Here is a place that can make you a new decal if you go as far as restoring the outside. Just click on the word decals below. Decals

YES YES YES!!! I have a 1966 Phoenix that looks almost exactly like the one you have, but not as good of shape. You got a good deal. I paid $500 for mine and plan on doing a complete frame up restoration. The company that made it is/was in Nappanee, Indiana. There seems to be some confusion as to what happened as the company closed in 1967 as a travel trailer manufacturer and then re-opened as a full modular home facility. I am also looking for an emblem as mine is also broken. It seems to be made from some pot metal or aluminum type metal. I believe the vin is located somewhere under the (driver's side) access panel (under the left seat when inside facing the table). Also the company is now operating as "Heckamen Homes". They have a website www.modulartoday.com where you can obtain more information including address and E-Mail. ALSO There is a video on youtube you should check out "Vintage Shasta Trailer Restoration - Part 1 - Restoration" It has several parts and is very interesting, This is what I am planning to do basically. If you or anyone else reading this can get any more information it would be most appreciated. These trailers are EXTREMELY RARE!!! So please take care of it. They were only made for about 10 years and not too many of them either as it was a very small company. Please contact me here or at amish1@hughes.net if you find out anything else. Just one more thing before I forget. You can also find a printed out version of the emblem online. Sorry, can't remember where because it wasn't what I wanted so didn't save the site. I think it was on Craigslist or one of those sites. I have some friends who are machinists and I will go that route if I have to. Good luck!

Just bumping this from the grave. Just got an early 70s Phoenix single axle 16 foot travel trailer. GF and I the interior gutted out and the frame braced. Floor is rotted, 3of four corners are rotted, and there’s Silicone everywhere. Here to look for Phoneix relevant links. We’ll be doing a frame up, but modern interior. YES YES YES!!!
