This is my first post I’m not sure how to add photos Got the unit for free if I could get it out of the woods
It’s a 64 I believe and was a time capsule of cool old things
Quit a bit of water damage and the roof is sagging bad
It will a complete re do .. excited about the project ..
So far I filled the tires with air , power washed it and removed a roof panel around the leaking vent

Welcome... Don't remove any more paneling from the inside. That's the first and biggest mistake newbies make. To replace paneling the metal skin must come off and the framing and then paneling come off from the outside. Not the inside. Removing it from the inside ruins the structural integrity of the trailer. There's a whole lot to learn here before you start tearing your trailer apart so read the tutorial on how to post photos and we'll help you get started. The right way.

Congrats on your new-to-you Shasta. Mobiltec knows of what he speaks (writes). If the roof is sagging a lot, you are almost certainly going to find a lot of rotten framing down at the bottom of the trailer. We are all here to help you do your rebuild correctly. It may not be the *easiest* way, but its the safest and reflects how the trailer was originally built. It will seem flimsy when you get the skin off, and if you look closely, you’ll see why you can’t work from the inside. These little trailers were really ingenious, especially since so many of them are still around after 50+ years.
A finished trailer and a camping trip may be the goal, but do enjoy the journey. And WELCOME!

Starting to seem like you have to go to Alaska to find a Canned ham Shasta Compact! Beautysmistress has a nice start. The wrap metal skin is a goop monster but we'll see what lies underneath when she get's the top off. Now the question is weather... October is just around the corner and that's when she says it begins snowing.
