I know I needed a good laugh and this did it!
1978 HomeBuilt Tiny Vintage 1978 Travel Trailer "World's Smallest"
Here's a piece from the description:
" This is without a doubt the most unusual travel trailer you will ever see. It is purported to be the World's Shortest and I can not imagine one shorter. It is 48" Long from front to back. This was custom built by the vintage trailer legend Bob Gallagher of Keizer Oregon. It is packed with a lot of features and some incredible design elements. "
" The trailer has a bed that sleeps one comfortably or two if you stack em. There is a Fridge, Microwave Cabinet, Swimming Pool Sink, Prep Counter, and Cocktail Counter. " (After all what more do you really need??)
" The Trailer rides on independent suspension (no axle) with 4" Wide White Wall tires. It also has custom Aluminum wheel well trim. The trailer does not need nor does it have brakes. It is wired with a four wire pigtail and uses a 2" ball hitch. The hitch arm is removable for reduced space or storage. There are 4 casters on the belly that when the tires are removed allow for the trailer to be moved around a shop with ease. "
" Yes it is a novelty, no it is not overly practical. Beyond it all it is just plain fascinating to look at. "

I saw it up at Brooks a few weeks ago. The siding is some kind of plastic laminate that didn't seem to be particularly enjoying sitting in the hot sun. The scariest part is the ground clearance- the body sits just inches from the pavement.
Fun as a gag, but I sure wouldn't plan on trying to use it.

That's Bob Gallagher’s right? He claimed he could only build something that big because his wife was hogging the garage with her project

It’s cute as a button and just about the same size.

This appears to be built by a person that has more time and money than he needs BUT if he is having fun then then I'm all for it.

He must be a retired farmer. They all have way too much money and time on their hands. Some of the weirdest automotive projects I've ever seen have come from farmers.
