We've lost some drop zones to the same plight. People move in next to an airport and thencomplain about the noise of the airplanes during the day and the parties at night. I managed a small air field that was finally pushed out of existence over greed for the land it was on and the city used the complaints of the new home owners against us as leverage to commit multiple felonies upon our persons and our property. The city used the police force as it's goon squad and I went to many council meetings and accused everyone from the police force on up to the mayor of all kinds of violations of our rights and city charter. I actually had the local police, 4 squad cars full of them, thrown off the property twice by the state police.
In the end, we lost the property to the city for a mere 7 hundred K. They took it by eminent domain and it was barely enough to pay off the lawyers. They say you can't fight city hall. Well you can, but that doesn't mean you will win.

Eminent domain should not exist. No one has the right to take something from someone else that is rightfully theirs. Oh wait, tell the Native Americans that!

In our case it's the hunting dog kennels. Development came to them and as the new homeowners moved in their complaints against the noise of the dogs went up. In this case though there seems to be a kennel owner on the county counsel and any new ordinances are voted down. The logic "you moved in next door to the kennel, the kennel did not build next door to you." So far the kennels are still winning but they're surrounded by hostility.

The Romani are their own ethnic group. Often referred to as gipsies, they have suffered horrendous persecution because of their ethnicity and religion. They live in extreme poverty but are tight family units. Yes, they are not without their bad seeds, but they are also widely misunderstood.
Here is some info that I think pertains to the above video. This may help explain what is happening between the French and the Romani.
Forced repatriation Main article: French Romani repatriation In the summer of 2010 French authorities demolished at least 51 illegal Roma camps and began the process of repatriating their residents to their countries of origin.[166] This followed tensions between the French state and Roma communities, which had been heightened after French police opened fire and killed a traveller who drove through a police checkpoint, hitting an officer, and attempted to hit two more officers at another checkpoint. In retaliation a group of Roma, armed with hatchets and iron bars, attacked the police station of Saint-Aignan, toppled traffic lights and road signs and burned three cars.[167][168] The French government has been accused of perpetrating these actions to pursue its political agenda.[169] EU Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding stated that the European Commission should take legal action against France over the issue, calling the deportations "a disgrace". Purportedly, a leaked file dated 5 August, sent from the Interior Ministry to regional police chiefs included the instruction: "Three hundred camps or illegal settlements must be cleared within three months, Roma camps are a priority."[170]

Everyone wants things they want and to heck with what the rest of us own or want. It reminds me of the story about the guy who moved to the country then sued the hog farmer who had lived next door for the last four generations and put him out of business, then the farmer sold the land to a developer to get enough money to pay off the lawyers. Now the gentleman who lived next door complains because he lives in the center of a subdivision.
