Hi, the walls of my Cree are originally 5/8 plywood. Even though I live in the metropolis, I can not locate this thickness without spending $75 per sheet; I can get 3/4 for about $50 or 1/2 inch easily. I'm doing frame up work and feel 1/2 is too weak (especially along the edges where many screws & nails will go) and 3/4 is too weighty. I may have to glue two skins together to achieve 5/8 inch; dread
Please recommend constructive suggestions.
Frustrated.

What Metropolis do you live in? Menards has 5/8 CDX on their website(if your around them) or the Home Depot has it but it will be measured as 15/32 CDX

I'm in SE Florida; no Menards here. I would need 20/32 (19/32) but the Depot stopped selling it. I even tried their Pro desk without luck. It was $75 per sheet unless I order 20 or more. Then I went to Lowes. The Pro desk bent over backwards to source it for me. $48 per sheet C2. Should be here in 5 days. Thanks Lowes!

My Scotty's side walls are 1/2 inch, as are Scotsman, and quite a few others. Mine's construction downfall wasn't wall thickness but careless mating between the side skins and the fore-roof-aft skin. How can you go wrong with a million 2" staples holding the wood together??? I'm tape sealing the f-r-a and side wood surfaces before replacing the aluminum, and plan on taping the aluminum surfaces under the J rails too. For your measurements, how about laminating 1/8" birch to some 1/2" so you could do a 'golden birch' interior?
