I am traveling to Ohio to pick up a 1969 Shasta Starflyte and would like to go ahead and take the tires with me so that I know we have them on hand. The only Tire Specs I can find say 8.25 x 14? Can anyone give me some good tire and Rim Adviceadvice, we have a 1400 mile trip back home.

Is the trailer mobile now? Meaning, has it been sitting in a field since 1975 that there would be other concerns, like bearings, brakes, etc?
I loaded mine onto a trailer and hauled it home that way, and that was <100 miles. It gave me much more peace of mind to know that it wasn't going anywhere (unless the whole thing blew off the frame).

I’d take bearings, tires, lights , tarps, duct tape , floor jack, plywood, screws, 2x4s and Xanax.
