My trailer is a 65 Shasta. I love the Shasta z stripe but is this type of paint job considered a big no no in the purist world being that it’s not the design for this model?

I say it's your trailer, paint it as you like. I actually like the trailer in the photo, is that what you are considering?

I love the z stripe but I don’t think I want black. Leaning towards a sage green color

I don't know of any hard fast rules that says you can't paint it the way you want, personally I love the Z stripe and it works on other models besides Shasta's,right Kevan? Danny

Did they redo the inside using birch (which isn’t on the 65)? There are several members who have used birch, and then at least one who did a z stripe as well. As other, wiser folks have said... it’s your trailer, do what you want!

I really like the one you painted with the small gap and then the pin stripe above the z. I think I like it better than a polished one.

nccamper I want to edge my strip with black. Could I do this with a rattle can, then tape it off to paint upper and lower, and if I did, how long would it have to sit between the enamel rattle can and the tape?

Could I do this with a rattle can, then tape it off to paint upper and lower, and if I did, how long would it have to sit between the enamel rattle can and the tape? I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. I would call the manufacture of the paint and ask about dry time. My guess without knowing the exact details would be 24 hours wait time
