This weekend was a busy weekend. -Rebuild the door - that took longer then I hoped. -Got the front metal on - I hate trying to get that all lined up again after you fix walls and find that the old camper wasn't square so the metal doesn't fit. -Put rubber on the front window and installed. And of course while I was putting new gasket around main window, I broke it. Now I need to get another piece of glass. I figured out why I broke it. It had been glued to the frame with double stick foam tape. -Put the kitchen window in. 20181028_190038 by Tom Ress, on Flickr

I would build a trailer garage with a tall door...... I was lucky. 2 years ago, I had A 7 FT 8 inch tall camper I wanted to get in out of the snow my door was 7 ft 6 in tall. Last fall I bought my neighbor's lot that has a big garage on it. It has hinge barn doors 7 ft 6 in tall AND a 24 inch section that swings up. This gives me 9 ft 6 in tall opening my new trailer fits fine. Like I said I was lucky. I see from photos you an not change yours. This is a great thread of your progress on the trailer. Thanks for posting it

Being able to get the project inside a building with lights and a concrete floor is a plus, I built a new garage almost ten years ago with heat & air, insulated to the max and most every conceivable tool known to man and it has been wonderful with one exception, I built it to do automobile restoration and had no intent of using it for anything else.
When I purchased the '56 Shasta I did most of the work behind the garage but the weather turned bad and I thought I could get it inside, I removed the wheels and removed the top vent and I still need another 3 inches to get it inside, now it's still sitting behind the shop covered up. Danny

One of these costs about $750 installed. A bit more if you want the side closed in and you need to have either two concrete footings or a slab of concrete to put it on like your drive way. That's my 58 Deville in there at the new owner's house.

Good morning. I have made some more progress. My wife had to scrape windows yesterday and she let me know about it again today. Time is ticking.
I don't feel to bad for her since she keeps pulling me away from the project.
Got the front window glass replaced and all sealed up. Got the the street and curb side windows with new rubber and installed Got a coat of shellac on the door
Again, clean for 2 hours work for 15 minutes. I guess cleaning is work.
Left to do Trim Eye brows Door Trailer lights Back metal I almost forgot, get the 2 dinette side windows installed. That will take a bit of work
Drag it outside Install vent Install axle
Put it in the corner and wait until next year.

Thanks for clarifying my brows.
Last night I finished putting rubber around rear window. Can't install it yet. I need to get the wiring and metal on the rear.
I also made a new corner trim piece for the curbside front. Will make a new one for the street side in the next couple of days.
Couple more coats of shellac on the door. I think I will need to go down and get another quart of amber and clear so I can finish up the trim fillers as well.
Being it is Halloween tonight I will most likely get nothing done since I either hide in the basement with all the lights off or go to a movie.

You hide in the basement. The neighbor kids have 3 dozen eggs and a 12 pack of TP. And they remember when you were grumpy to them

And they remember when you were grumpy to them I am that crazy old fart that the neighborhood kids want to trick or treat at our house, we buy the kind of candy bars we like and if they are not gone by the end of the evening we enjoy them ourselves. I have a old Model A sitting in the side yard (Yard Art) and when the kids come up the driveway I have a remote on the lights and they come on and give them a good scare. Danny

I am in the process of adding a 14' wide by 21' deep bay on my pole barn. It is all framed, this weekend I am pouring the floor and I hope to have it all done by the end of November. The existing 3 doors on the barn are only 9x7, the new bay will have a 10' wide x 9' tall door. The ceiling is 10'-3". Then I can hibernate in the garage all winter. My wife says, "we are not sitting on the couch at 7pm every night to watch tv" Hope she knows by spring her hands will look like mine. lol

Worked all day yesterday to get more done. Back window installed Trim around storage doors and doors installed Brows installed on all but 2 spots All trim cleaned up and ready for install Built another front corner trim piece. Got the electric outlet installed. Almost forgot, plugged the wing holes. Ran out of butyl tape so all I could do was then clean. Have the door, front side windows, brows, wire the trailer lights then drag it outside and put the vent and axle on and put it into storage mode for the winter. Since every one likes pictures here you go. 20181104_194838 by Tom Ress, on Flickr

Can't you just leave it where it is until spring. It snowed yesterday.
