I am not reusing the original water tank that was in my camper. IMG_0195 by kathy, on Flickr The PO had purchased this 16 gallon one- but never installed. IMG_2928 by kathy, on Flickr It fits well in my bench seat cabinet- but the water fill hole in my metal skin will not match up with the hole in the tank. Is it going to work? When I get to my plumbing- will I be able to get a pipe (flexible perhaps?) that can rectify this issue? Just wondering if I will need to get a new tank that fits my current inlet. Sorry if I am not using correct terms- have not even started to study up and work on plumbing yet ! Thanks K

First of all, it's upside down. The large tube goes 'up'. You may have to rework/change the fill location to make this tank work.
The trouble I'm seeing if the length of the fill hose and trying not to kink it. Measure everything closely and get back to us. I'm guessing the fill is not at the same forward location?
Another option is to block the tank fill and have another fill 'heat spun' into the tank. Poly tanks are easy to reconfigure. Make SURE that the fill tube is the correct size to fit the old fill if you're re-using it. Also, take the fill with; they are not normal plumbing sizes... Wonder how I figured that one out??

I'm not sure what size the exterior inlet setup on the trailer was, it looks like it was a pressure-tank system. You may want to change the inlet from the pressure cap to a gravity fill. There should be a way to adapt the tank, especially if it was purchased with this application in mind. The distance from the wall to the inlet will be crucial. There are plastic lines that you can purchase at the hardware store that will flex, but you will need enough of a run of it to keep from kinking, as Vikx mentioned. You will also need a vent back to the fill, which will be easy enough to do, since there will be a second opening available when the tank is turned over into position.

You possibly can make an adapter out of pvc pipe and fittings that will allow you to avoid kinks and also change diameters to match your inlet and tank.

I'm not sure PVC will work as well as expected. It gets brittle in a trailer. Try boat shops for adapters/sizing. I know it can be difficult for sure.

Yes you can't use pvc solid mounted but you can insert it in hoses to turn corners or change sizes.
